Freddy came to Instagram on Monday and uploaded a carousel post telling the story of a magazine interview he conducted with Anushka years ago. He recalls flying from Delhi to Mumbai and visiting Anushka at her penthouse. He described her as ‘utterly lovely’, ‘totally unpretentious’, ‘funny, normal, and fully calm’, and ‘talkative in the finest way’.

He further mentioned that his driver had asked him to ask Anushka if she was dating Virat. Freddy stated that well into the conversation, his ‘Barkha Dutt instincts’ kicked in and he eventually posed the question. “Of course her best acting skills came to the fore, and she pretended to know nothing about the question asked.”

However, he discovered the truth when he overheard Virat flirting and arranging dinner plans with her while she was on the phone. He chose to keep her secret, and when his driver asked if she was dating Virat, he denied.
