Images released by the news agency ANI showed areas of Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Noida experiencing flooded roads and traffic jams as a result of the continuous rain.”Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain, accompanied by heavy downpours in localized areas, and winds ranging from 20-40 km/h, are expected over Delhi and adjoining areas of the NCR in the next 2 hours,” stated a post on X.Thursday’s intense rains in the nation’s capital kept the day’s temperature just below average. Pre-monsoon showers fell over the area on Wednesday as well, preventing Delhi’s high temperature from rising above 40°C.

Meanwhile, the weather agency has extended the ‘yellow alert’ until July 3. The forecast indicates that Delhi will experience moderate to heavy rainfall over the next seven days, with generally cloudy skies and varying intensities of rain, along with gusty wind.
